I believe the most important aspects of

effective personal therapy are empathy, trust and safety all inclusive in the environment for the client.

My specialties include life transitions, coping with physical illness, stress anxiety, and depression associated with work relationships, family relationships, retirement, and frustrations with hopes and dreams.

I have trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities and have found unresolved early childhood issues to be the basis for many of the problems that become apparent in the present.

I have been working with children and families helping them to resolve conflicts in their relationships during the past fifteen years. I have completed Resiliency Training, which taught me the flexibility each person has to help them resolve many of their problems.

PHILOSOPHY AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

Psychotherapy is a unique and distinctive process in which you are given the opportunity to develop a very special relationship with a trained and skilled professional who can help you with relationship problems in your personal and/or professional lives.

In order for the psychotherapeutic process to be effective, I believe it is important that the relationship between the therapist and client be based on trust and safety. It is also vital that the process be suited and paced to each individual's particular needs.

Because I am aware of these individual needs of my clients, I provide a safe, trusting and supportive environment for them. Through many years of working with clients, I have learned the importance of being listened to, understood, and guided when necessary, so that the end of the journey feels productive and meaningful.

The journey is not unlike the planting of a seed that requires nurturing to help the seed develop into a beautiful strong flower that is able to withstand stormy weather in between the days of sunshine.

If other resources are required along the way, I furnish clients with appropriate referrals to other professionals who can help them come closer to reaching their goals.

As an experienced therapist, I would look forward to helping you to explore, understand and either accept or change behavior patterns that have become troublesome in your life.
